| RCD is Residual Current Device. MCB is Miniature Circuit Breaker. RCBO is RCD + MCB = Residual Current Circuit Breaker with Overcurrent Protection
RCD provides personal shock protection. RCD is now mandatory for each outlet, to meet Electrical Wiring Standards.

| RCBO’S |
| According to the requirements of NZS3001-2008 each outlet has an RCBO in the circuit. |
| WATERPROOF |
| A feature of this unit is the protection from the ingress of water for the RCBO’s. This is achieved by way of a window under which all the circuit breakers are housed. Whilst providing protection for these items it also allows easy access to operate them. This window is on the fourth side of the unit. If a fourth outlet is required, it is surface mounted under the window. |
| OUTLETS |
| Outlets, unless otherwise requested, are IEC 60309-2 16 Amp 230 Volt 2 Pole + Earth (Standard NZ Caravan). The standard allows for the use of Flat Pin 15A Outlets (RCBO’s required) however these outlets are not used in New Zealand. |
| LIGHT |
| A light is optional. A Photo Cell is included that will bring on the light automatically at dusk and switch it off again at dawn. Also included is an 8 watt Energy Saver Florescent Lamp that uses minimal electricity, and has an expected life of 6,000 hours at 5.5 hours per day. This will save lamp changes. The Light may be switched off manually. |
| KILOWATT HOUR METER |
| Kilowatt hour meters are also optional. Kilowatt hour meters allow the camp ground manager to monitor power usage and if needed charge for power used on camp sites. If metering is required, there will be an additional cost. Price on application. |
